Message from the VP
At Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, we are redefining ourselves as a connected campus: connected with our students, connected with our stakeholders, connected with our communities.
As you peruse this report, you will find examples of the ways we are engaging the people we serve, whether through teaching and learning, research or public discourse and involvement. Our location is so important – as a key socio-economic driver in the western region, it behooves us to learn from and give back to the people we serve. And we are committed to establishing meaningful relationships beyond our traditional catchment area, into Labrador and central Newfoundland.
I am a firm believer that if we truly connect at a fundamental level, the results will be tremendous. Whether it’s our students learning hands-on through experiential learning, or our researchers going into the communities around us to find solutions for the issues they’ve identified, Grenfell is making a wholehearted effort to connect with you.
I encourage you to take a few moments to learn more about the excellent work being done by Grenfell’s students, staff and faculty. We are striving to make a difference in the province, the country and around the world.
